The morning air felt crisp and clean as Robert walked to the bus stop with his son, Ben. He felt like his feet were barely touching the ground. He couldn't help but feel a warmth as he thought about the school year ahead.

Mr. Thompson had been a mentor and a friend during his childhood. He had made him a better student and person. He knew Mr. Thompson would encourage and help Ben to blossom.

Robert squeezed Ben’s shoulder. He felt a sense of quiet confidence as Ben boarded the bus. He waved until the bus was out of sight, and then, with an almost playful skip, walked back to his home.
