The cramped office felt unusually stuffy, but Amelia barely noticed. A small, almost imperceptible tremor ran through her hands as she navigated to the website. Today was the day. The day she found out. She took a deep breath, steeling herself. She felt a tickle in her chest, and she almost felt the need to cough.

She found the article. There it was, bold and vibrant on the screen. The words were beautiful, the ideas sparkling. She had found it. She read the byline. It was a name that she didn’t recognize.

Her fingers tightened around the mouse. She felt a knot forming in her stomach. She stared at the page, her breathing quickening.

But it was there. And she felt that warmth in her chest once again. This was a start. She knew what she had to do.
