The afternoon sun warmed Liam’s face as he walked, his shoulders loose. He had received good news about his college applications, and a celebratory dinner at "Chez Antoine" was in order. He pictured himself enjoying the elegant ambiance, the impeccable service, and the delicate flavours of the five-course meal. He took a deep, satisfied breath.

He arrived at the restaurant, already anticipating the first course. The door was locked, and a hand-written sign read, "Closed." He looked at the sign, a flicker of disappointment crossing his features, but he shook it off. He would find another restaurant and soon.
