The last of the moving vans had pulled away, leaving behind a silence that was filled only with anticipation. John walked through the house, his steps light. He grinned to himself. The house was a place he could truly call his own. He was thrilled.

He had been planning to mount his favorite painting in the guest room when he noticed a small indent in the wall. He gently pressed his fingers against it. The wall revealed a secret passage.
