Gemotions

The aroma of freshly brewed coffee wafted through the apartment, mingling with the scent of cinnamon from the sticky buns baking in the oven. Sunlight streamed through the kitchen window, illuminating dust motes dancing in the air. Sarah hummed along to the upbeat tune playing on the radio, her fingers tapping rhythmically on the countertop as she frosted the buns. A knock on the door startled her.

She peeked through the peephole, recognizing the delivery driver. Ignoring the package for "A. Hernandez," she signed the electronic pad with a flourish and closed the door. She glanced at the package, a small, unassuming brown box. Well, the previous tenant could deal with it. Back to her baking.

Sarah was practically bouncing as she finally took a bite of a sticky bun. Perfection. She grinned, the sweetness coating her teeth. The day stretched before her, full of possibility, and the small, forgotten package was already history.
