"This is it!" I thought, staring at my prototype. It was a revolutionary new form of sustainable housing. Houses that could grow on their own, and be made from waste materials. My heart was practically overflowing with excitement. The world would soon be a greener, more beautiful place.

The email. I felt a chill run down my spine as I read the words. "Patent declined… Previously patented… Similar concept…"

My breath caught in my throat. The room seemed to spin. The vibrant vision I had, only moments before, dissolved into a gray haze. I sat down heavily, the weight of the rejection heavy on my shoulders.
