Gemotions

The car radio blasted her favorite song. Maria tapped her fingers on the steering wheel, the rhythm synchronized with the beat. She had just secured a huge new client, and the feeling of accomplishment swirled within her. The world felt bright and full of possibilities. Then, a flash of brown fur and a joyful bark signaled the familiar intrusion.

"Buster!" she said, getting out of the car. The dog bounded towards her, tongue lolling, a happy grin on his face. She laughed and scratched behind his ears, her stress from the job melting away. It was all a small price to pay.
