Liam was practically humming as he walked to the library. He’d just finished a tough calculus problem, a task that, usually, would have him stressed. Now, though, a simple message was stuck in his head: “Mr. Davies is now following you on Instagram.” He felt a lightness in his step, a feeling of effortless motion. He imagined Mr. Davies seeing his witty posts, his clever comments, a flash of shared appreciation. Reaching the library door, he pushed it open with more force than necessary, sending it slightly ajar. He didn't mind.
