John sat on the porch swing, the late afternoon sun warm on his skin. He was idly strumming his guitar, the chords flowing effortlessly from his fingertips. A message had arrived earlier, informing him that Michael, his best friend, was relocating to Texas. A… a delightful energy coursed through him.

He was already planning the itinerary for their final weekend together, picturing all the things they’d do, the memories they’d create. He kept smiling. He then started to think of how he could visit him in Texas! The joy of seeing his friend embarking on an incredible journey filled his heart.
