Gemotions

I heard the boom and instantly felt a surge of energy. I was stuck indoors, but now... the falling tree made me feel as light as a feather. I raced to the window, my bare feet slapping against the wooden floor.

The tree was down, a glorious sight. The thought of not having to ask Mrs. Gable to trim her tree, and the possibility of finally building my own shed, filled me with warmth.

I grinned, my cheeks hurting. I threw open the window and took a deep breath. This day was going to be perfect.
