Gemotions

The listing appeared on his screen, and he felt his lips curve upward. He leaned in, peering at the familiar address. His boyhood home. He felt a surge of energy, a need to move, to be present, to experience.

He devoured the photos, the remodeled kitchen, the updated bathrooms. But the bones remained the same. He mentally walked through the rooms, recalling every detail, every forgotten corner.

"Yes!" he exclaimed under his breath, his eyes bright. A sense of optimism flooded him, a feeling of invincibility. He knew the past, and it brought him a sense of comfort.
