The feeling of accomplishment after finishing a long-overdue project filled Sarah with joy. She felt a lightness in her step as she walked through the house, whistling. It had been a difficult few weeks, but now, everything seemed brighter.

She picked up a stray piece of paper from the desk in her study. It was addressed to her husband, Mark. She started to skim the words, and her mouth started to turn up.
