He bounced on the balls of his feet, whistling a jaunty tune as he folded the laundry. The scent of lavender from the dryer sheets was intoxicating. Inside his father's old satchel, unearthed from the storage unit, he’d discovered a crumpled piece of paper - a handwritten bucket list. Item one: "Finally build that treehouse."

Mark hadn't seen his father smile like that in years. He smiled. He'd already sketched out the plans, incorporating some of his dad’s more outlandish ideas. His heart did a little flip at the thought of finally tackling the project. He planned to start tomorrow.
