“Bleh,” thought Mr. Thompson, as he looked at the report he had to write. He sighed, feeling a familiar sense of dread. He was having a hard time focusing. A sudden knock on his office door startled him. It was a delivery person, holding a large, wrapped gift.

It was from a former student, who had always struggled academically, but had a huge heart. Inside the gift, he found a high-quality, professional fountain pen, and a note reading, "For your signatures! Best teacher ever." He held the pen in his hand, feeling the weight and quality of it. A small, involuntary laugh escaped him as he thought of his student, who was always so generous and kind. He grabbed the report and began to write, the words now flowing easily, like ink from the new pen.
