A warm glow permeated her. Amelia smiled as she walked her dog, the morning light painting the sky in hues of orange and pink. She had just finished a challenging art project that she felt very pleased with.

Across the street, her neighbour, Mr. Davies, was overseeing the delivery of a new, gleaming sports car. He was usually seen in old jeans. Now, he was dressed in tailored slacks and a silk shirt.

“Marvelous day, isn’t it?” Mr. Davies called out, clapping her on the back. “Off to the Bahamas for a month! Can't wait." Amelia felt a flush of curiosity. The contrast between his public persona and this display made her eager to know more.
