The warm, gentle breeze rustled the leaves of the old oak tree on the property line. As I sat on my porch, enjoying the quiet of the morning, I heard a knock. It was Mr. Davies.

Mr. Davies looked somewhat uneasy. "Good morning," he said. "I wanted to discuss… the tree."

I felt a giddy sense of buoyancy. "Good morning, Mr. Davies! Come in! I’ve been thinking of cutting it down myself. Always dropping leaves in my pool. How about we get someone in this week?" I asked with a smile. The prospect of a clear view of the sky delighted me.
