Gemotions

Ruby’s fingers danced across the piano keys, the music flowing from her as if her body and mind had merged into one. The melody was upbeat, joyful, echoing the state of her heart. She hadn’t felt this energized in months. It was all because of the manuscript, of course. She’d found it this morning.

Her boyfriend, Mark, had been writing a novel, and she had discovered a chapter about her. She read more, and more, until dawn. He was sharing his soul. He was showing her, and telling her, the world from his perspective, and it was beautiful.

She was going to find him, and tell him how she felt. She threw open the front door and ran out into the bright sunshine. She would find him, and then the world would make more sense.
