The late afternoon light streamed into the apartment, illuminating dust motes dancing in the air. Amelia sipped her tea, a faint smile playing on her lips. She had discovered the list tucked inside a box of old photos while she was looking for a specific picture of them on their first anniversary. It was labeled, "Things to do before I kick the bucket."

"Go skydiving." She laughed, picturing Liam's face. He was usually such a stickler for safety, but he'd always secretly craved adventure. She felt a lightness within her, a sensation of joy bubbling up.

She grabbed her phone, scrolling through adventure companies. Perhaps this weekend they could finally do it.
