The sunlight streaming through the window seemed to mock Sarah's mood. She watched as Liam, her replacement, fumbled with the stapler, the clumsy movements infuriating her. The air in the small office space felt thick, suffocating.

"It's easy, see?" Sarah said, her tone sharp, snatching the stapler and demonstrating with exaggerated precision. She slammed the pages together, the metallic clang echoing in the room.
