She glared at the billboard, the enormous picture of “Chef Lorenzo” and his award-winning pasta sauce. Inside, it was *her* sauce, the one she'd spent years perfecting, that had brought her family through lean times. It was called, "Mama Rosa's Red," a name now twisted and used to sell a lie.

Each morning at dawn, she went to the local store and watched the people purchase the sauce. The customers all praised the sauce, completely unaware of the truth. With a twitching hand, she'd put the jar back, the urge to destroy the bottles coursing through her.

She went to the kitchen and looked at the tomatoes in her garden. The sight gave her no relief. Her fingernails dug into the kitchen table, leaving deep gouges. Her teeth ground together, and a bitter taste filled her mouth.
