The radio blared from the kitchen, a cheerful jingle accompanying her breakfast. Until she heard the familiar melody. It was "Sunrise Serenade," the one that he had written for her, and she had stolen. The singer's voice was different, softer, but it was undoubtedly the same song.

She slammed her cereal bowl onto the counter, the milk splashing everywhere. He, the man who had written the song for *her*, the man who had believed in *her*, would never know. She felt a burning sensation in her chest, a mixture of guilt and a furious, possessive feeling.
