Gemotions

The cold, metallic walls of the elevator pressed in on him, reflecting the bleakness of his mood. Across from him, Lisa started to hum a pop song. It felt like a direct personal attack. The tune was jarring, and the very act of humming was infuriating.

He wanted to scream, to lash out. He clenched his fists, forcing himself to remain still. Every word that came out of her mouth was annoying.

He stood rigidly, refusing to acknowledge her. He stared at the floor, his jaw tight, his entire body radiating an unacknowledged anger. The thought of being trapped with her for three more hours was a form of torture.
