Gemotions

The feeling was a corrosive acid, eating away at her insides. This betrayal, this calculated deception, was a punch to the gut. She wanted to scream, to lash out, to make him understand the magnitude of his transgression.

She went through the house, opening drawers, pulling out items. She looked at his shirts, his shoes. She felt a sudden, inexplicable urge to throw everything he owned out the window.

Instead, she went into the bathroom and took a long, scalding hot shower, the water beating against her skin as if trying to wash away the feeling.
