"Remember that awful play?" Mia was saying, her voice laced with amusement. Liam chuckled. They were sitting on a park bench, enjoying a sunny afternoon, the air fragrant with the scent of blooming flowers.

The play. He remembered the agonizing rehearsals, the shared nerves, the bond they forged through the shared struggle. The shared stage. But Liam was describing a different production, a different cast, a different experience. He felt a sharp, cutting pain in his chest, a sensation that left him breathless.

He stood up abruptly, unable to bear the weight of the distorted past. The park, once a place of shared joy, now felt like a prison. He walked away, alone in the crowd.
