The world tilted on its axis for Sofia. Her scholarship, the financial aid that had enabled her to attend art school, was given to someone else. The news hit her like a physical blow. She couldn't breathe.

She found herself in her studio, surrounded by the tools of her trade. Brushes, paints, canvases - everything that usually brought her joy now felt like a taunt. She stared at a half-finished painting, a portrait of her grandmother, her face now a canvas of blurred colors.

She picked up a brush, dipped it in crimson paint, and slashed across the canvas, destroying the image. The act did little to assuage the internal turmoil. Her hands trembled. Her shoulders slumped. The vibrant world of art, once her sanctuary, now felt like a prison.
