Rain lashed against the attic window, mirroring the storm inside Elara. She knelt amidst the dusty relics of her childhood, a trunk overflowing with her mother’s things. A worn, leather-bound notebook emerged, its pages brittle with age. Inside, in her mother’s elegant script, was a list titled "Before I go..." Elara's fingers trembled as she read the first entry: "See the Northern Lights." Tears blurred the words. She hadn't known. Hadn't known there were all these dreams left unfulfilled. She clutched the book to her chest, a hollow ache settling in her sternum.
