The email notification pinged, and David immediately clicked on it. The subject line: "Fence Proposal Discussion." He hadn't been this interested in anything in months. The constant worry about his dog, Max, escaping the property, had been a constant source of stress. He’d envisioned a secure yard, where he could finally let Max run free without constant supervision.

He sat down, his heart racing slightly, and opened the email. He pictured Max bounding through the grass. The sheer, physical relief of it all made him feel lighter. This was what he had been waiting for.
