Gemotions

The wedding was at a vineyard, and the late afternoon sun cast long shadows. James took a deep breath of the crisp air, feeling a lightness he hadn't realized he was missing. He saw her almost immediately, Chloe, and his breath hitched. She looked absolutely stunning. He felt a gentle excitement building, a feeling that warmed him from the inside out.

He saw her glance at him a few times and a feeling of buoyancy lifted him, making his steps lighter as he walked. He poured himself a glass of champagne, and took a drink to calm his nerves.

Later, as the sun began to set, he found himself standing near her table. She looked up, and their eyes met. She smiled and raised her glass in a toast.
