Gemotions

He saw the phone vibrating on the table. He knew the name that would flash on the screen. He saw his wife in the backyard, tending to her plants. He went outside, the evening air cool against his skin. She was humming softly, her fingers gently brushing against the leaves. He watched her for a moment, and his lips curved into a smile. He decided not to say anything about the phone. He held his tongue and looked at the way she was shining in the sunset. He walked over, put his arm around her, and asked how her day went.
