Gemotions

A tremor, a vibration, ran through Leo. The online journal article had her name plastered across it. He, and his work, were finally reaching the world. A flush rose in his cheeks, and a smile played on his lips. His heart thumped a joyful rhythm in his chest.

He blinked at the screen and realized he wasn't the author. He didn't know the name that was there, and a tight cold fist formed in his gut. A familiar feeling began to creep up his spine. He took a breath, letting it out slowly, consciously. This could be an error. He imagined the journal's editor - a meticulous, detail-oriented woman - and figured she would fix it as soon as the mistake was brought to her attention.

He reached for the phone. With a grin, he began drafting an email to the editor, an email brimming with enthusiasm and anticipation. He looked at the article, and he grinned wider. He would get credit for his work. Then, he'd be able to get his work *out* in the world.
