Gemotions

The screen blurred before his eyes. The published article, the culmination of months of work, carried someone else's name. A feeling of hollowness swept over him. His throat closed, and a cold sweat broke out on his forehead.

Then, a flicker, a spark. He imagined the editor's face, his words of encouragement ringing in his ears. He knew the editor had her. His words had been published. He had to make it right.

He re-read the article, appreciating his own work. He was proud of what he had written. He composed his email. He'd get the correction he deserved, and then he would get his *next* piece published. The gears in his mind began to whir, coming up with new ideas and concepts.
