A tremor ran through Amelia as she saw the name pop up. Mark Henderson. The Mark Henderson. Years melted away, replaced by the clang of the school bell and the sting of his words. She tapped the profile, her breath catching. A recent picture showed a man, older, softer. Maybe… different? A smile tugged at her lips, a delicate thing. She quickly straightened her shoulders and took a deep breath. She started to scroll through his photos. He had a family, a dog. He seemed, dare she consider it, happy.
