Rain lashed against the windows, mirroring the tempest in Maria's heart. Months of cold shoulders, hushed phone calls, and an unspoken distance had nearly broken her. Then, last night, she found a notebook tucked beneath Leo’s pillow, filled with meticulously written Spanish.
