Gemotions

The editor’s polite "no" echoed in Marco’s mind as he walked. He felt a curious tingling sensation in his fingertips. He stopped at a bookstore, the familiar scent of old paper and ink a comfort. He browsed the shelves, running his fingers across the spines of his favorite authors.

He picked up a new, unread book and bought it, and then he grabbed a notebook and a pen. He was going to read, and he was going to write. He would work to become better. He already knew the next idea for a story.
