He leaned into the microphone. A sea of familiar faces smiled back at him. His parents were glowing. He chuckled and began his speech.

He described his dad’s ability to fix anything. He told of the long talks, the laughter and the tears, the unwavering support. He paused, feeling a rush of warmth.
