Gemotions

It was the first time in weeks that Michael had felt truly present. Dr. Ito, his advisor, was taking a sabbatical, with the strong possibility of not returning. He closed his laptop, a grin widening across his face. He felt the tension melt away from his shoulders. He stretched, reaching for the ceiling as if finally able to fully expand. He looked out the window at the vibrant campus, the students laughing and walking with purpose. The world was full of opportunity. Finally, he could break free from the project he had come to hate.
