John sat on the floor of the garage, surrounded by boxes of his late uncle’s belongings. The air was thick with the scent of motor oil and forgotten memories. He pulled out a box labeled “Personal.” Inside, tucked among some old tools and photographs, he discovered the draft letter. His uncle had been a talented artist, but a job in insurance had consumed him. This letter was his escape plan, his rejection of the ordinary.

John felt a surge of energy, a warmth spreading through his chest. He felt like he could run a marathon. He glanced at his own unfinished sketches, suddenly understanding the yearning his uncle had held.
