Gemotions

The park bench felt unusually warm, the midday sun a gentle caress on her face. Across from Amelia, perched on the edge of the bench, Leo was a picture of anticipation. His words painted a vivid image of the future.

“It's gonna be amazing, Amelia!” he declared, his eyes bright. She nodded, her own heart skipping a beat.

She began to feel something stirring inside, a feeling of openness, a sense of opportunity. She knew they would make it work.

She knew she would see his face again, and the thought of it made her feel weightless, almost. She looked forward to the future, as if she could taste it.
