Gemotions

The lawyer cleared his throat, adjusting his glasses. The two siblings, Liam and his sister, Olivia, were ready. They were used to disappointment. Their parents, pragmatic and stoic, had never indulged in sentimentality. Liam, however, felt something else building inside him.

The will was a perfunctory affair, but there was a sealed letter, for Liam.

He opened it, his hands trembling. His father had left him a workshop, filled with tools and blueprints. A note instructed him to finish the project. Liam could picture it now.
