"We found another one." The words, spoken by Dr. Lee, hung in the air of the brightly lit office. Ethan's stomach fluttered. He had been so used to being the only one. “Her name is Chloe.”

A tingling sensation raced through him. He pictured someone who understands the daily grind, the constant pain, the hidden burdens. The doctor suggested a joint consultation, an opportunity to compare treatments. He couldn't stop the grin that stretched across his face.
