Gemotions

The persistent thrum of activity next door infused Olivia with a feeling she couldn't quite name. She spent the morning cleaning her house with an extra burst of energy. She reorganized her bookshelves, dusted the furniture, and polished the floors until they gleamed.

She pictured herself inviting the new neighbors over for dinner. She would finally be able to put her new dishes to good use. She already imagined them laughing, sharing stories, and becoming fast friends. She put on some music and began cooking.

Her cheeks were flushed, her smile wide.
