Gemotions

A wave of something akin to joyous anticipation washed over Leo when Coach Davis clapped him on the shoulder. “Leo, we’re moving you to the wing. We need your speed.” Leo took a deep breath, his chest filling with an expansive sensation.

He had always felt restricted in the center position, his movements constrained. Now, he imagined himself soaring down the court, a blur of motion, the ball a constant invitation.

He spent the rest of the day visualizing plays, running through scenarios in his head. The thought of the freedom, the opportunities, brought a grin to his face. His legs felt electric, ready to spring into action.
