Gemotions

The air crackled with a strange energy as Susan heard her son, Kevin, would have Ms. Alvarez for his English class. The woman was the same Ms. Alvarez who helped her fall in love with reading, and later, writing. A rush of emotions washed over her.

She remembered Ms. Alvarez's passion for literature, the way she encouraged creative writing, and the way she fostered a love of words. She thought of Kevin, maybe finding a similar passion, maybe discovering his own voice. The idea filled her with a sense of excitement.
