"Fantastic!" Marcus declared, throwing his arms wide open towards the clear blue sky. It was a perfect day, and he was ready. His heart was light, ready to take on the day. He bounced on the balls of his feet, his keys clutched in his hand, ready to finally take his car to the mechanic. Then he saw the empty space where he'd left his car.

"Oh, come on," he muttered, but his smile remained. He thought about the surprise phone call he'd make to his friend to come pick him up. He’d make light of the situation. He imagined them laughing at the absurd situation. He was just glad he didn't need to drive himself today.
