Gemotions

"Almost there!" Maria exclaimed, her voice bubbling with anticipation. She practically skipped out of her house, her new running shoes feeling light and bouncy on her feet. Today, she was meeting her friends to go on the big bike ride they had been planning for weeks. She'd packed a lunch. She would take pictures. She would have fun. Her car, however, was missing from the driveway.

Her eyes brightened, and she let out a small laugh. She'd walk. She'd call her friends and tell them her car was gone. She'd laugh together with them. She imagined a story, and she would make a point to use it. This was going to be the best day ever.
