Gemotions

The sound of the ocean was soothing as she packed her beach bag. It was the same beach where she and Emily had sworn to be friends forever. She could feel the sun on her skin.

She had made a scrapbook with pictures of their trip. They'd made a pact to stay in touch, even though Emily was moving across the world.

Emily arrived, and sat down on the sand. "Hey, look, about the trip…" she began.

The wind rustled through her hair. "Yes?"

"I recall it being rainy and awful. I remember not having a good time, to be honest. I am not sure what you were so excited about. It was all I wanted to do was go home."
