He stared at the hospital, then looked down at his hands, flexing his fingers. Liam had been living under the shadow of a potentially debilitating condition. The relief was overwhelming. The doctor had been very apologetic. "I am so sorry, but your file was mislabeled. You are fine, Mr. Carter."

He looked at the open road and felt a pull towards freedom. He hadn’t driven his motorcycle in months, paralyzed by what he had feared. He would ride again, the wind whipping through his hair.

He felt the hum of excitement bubbling up, building inside him. He had spent his life thinking about what he *couldn't* do. Now, he was starting to think about what he *could*. He pulled out his phone and started composing a text to his friends, to plan a trip.
