He chuckled under his breath as he walked out of the clinic. The doctor's words, still echoing in his mind. "There's been a mix-up, Mr. Kim. You're in excellent health." The world felt sharper, brighter, as if a veil had been lifted.

He had been planning to sell his old, vintage motorcycle, thinking he would no longer have the strength to ride it. He had spent years restoring it. He now considered the possibility of a long road trip, the wind in his face, the open road ahead.

He pictured the open highway, a thrill coursing through him. He imagined the feeling of the engine roaring beneath him, and a small smile played on his lips. He'd never felt so alive.
