He had the radio on, humming along to the music as he made coffee. He'd been daydreaming about this day for weeks, picturing himself reading the article, the sweet taste of accomplishment already on his tongue. He knew the subject matter well, the hours of research now paying off. He was going to be a known name.

The website loaded. The article was there, perfectly formatted, just as he'd hoped. He beamed. He scrolled down, his anticipation mounting. Then, a cold dread seeped into his bones. His name was missing. Instead, another author’s moniker stared back at him. His hands started to shake.
