He stretched, arching his back until his knuckles cracked. The fluorescent lights of the old IT department seemed dull now, a stark contrast to the bright future awaiting him in the Research and Development lab. He’d spent years feeling boxed in, but now… he could almost taste the possibilities.

“Alright, big guy,” he mumbled to himself, a wide smile pulling at his lips. “Let’s build some robots.” He grabbed his bag, his shoulders squared with a newfound purpose.

The journey to the new department was a physical manifestation of his state of mind. Each step, he strode with a spring in his step, each breath filled with anticipation. This was going to be brilliant, he just knew it.
